 Embedded Potentiometers
This cost effective device is used to instrument hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders providing such mechanical devices with motion and position control characteristic of expensive actuators. Sensor Systems models utilize the finest infinite resolution film available to produce an accurate and electrically smooth potentiometric output directly proportional to cylinder stroke, fulfilling “smart cylinder” needs at extremely competitive prices.
These potentiometers consist of an element and wiper assembly. The element is mounted through the end of the cylinder and into the cylinder body by various means, while the wiper assembly is designed to affix to the piston.
