Conductive
Plastic Potentiometers
All single-turn and multi-turn conductive plastic potentiometers utilize proprietary Diallyl Phthalate and Phenolic based
films for superior temperature stability, and outstanding output smoothness and linearity characteristics. The forerunners of the current Sensor
Systems product invented conductive plastic products in the 1950's and with enhancements over the decades, these products have fulfilled the
most demanding rotary potentiometer needs; from high performance Servo and guidance system requirements, to machine and packaging controls.
Sensor Systems is the only potentiometer manufacturer with every conductive plastic film technology process. While all others are constrained
with one process, Sensor can supply potentiometers that utilize the best available process for the application. Film deposition processes include
dip coating, off-contact screen printing, and spraying. All are used to deposit films onto molded or machined substrates, and the latter two
are used to deposit conductive element images on carriers that are then co-molded into the surface of and simultaneously with the molding of
the substrate.
Each process and substrate type have unique strengths, allowing us the greatest flexibility in providing the best match of size, shape and
performance to fit our customer's needs.
Through acquisitions and mergers, Sensor Systems has assembled an impressive array of conductive plastic potentiometer nameplates, all companies
well known throughout the history of conductive plastic potentiometer products.
